This high Tajima calf KIKUYASU 10X came out of nowhere to be the highest frame and growth weanling out of a group of 7 embryo bull calves. All 6 of the other bull calves were sired by the only 100% Kedaka sire to ever leave Japan, Shigefuku J1822 and yet this high Tajima Kikuyasu 400 son outgrew all the Kedakas! The "10X" in his name comes from the fact that of all the calves in the pasture from his embryo group, the highest growth yearling just happened to have as his ear tag number the perfect number "10!" KIKUYASU 10X's sire Kikuyasu 400 is the largest 100% Tajima sire to ever leave Japan at just under a ton...freakish growth for a 100% Doi blood Tajima from Hyogo! Kikuyasu 10X's dam the J84 cow, is the prized donor of Will Neal's program in central Missouri after he picked her out from over 200 fullblood heifers out of Ultimate Kobe Beef's 2009 calf crop. Her breathtaking deep, broody phenotype and high power pedigree feature the great perennial powerhouse herdbull of the JVP program "JVP Oliver," and the great Strube Ranch and Ultimate Kobe Beef "UKB" herd sire "Genjiro Jr 156E" who's dam is a Westholme donor that was a full sister to the donor dam of legendary industry AI sire Shigefuku 13M. The 48F cow on the bottom of KIKUYASU 10X's pedigree was a standout donor at Ultimate Kobe Beef and mother of their great herdbull "I48F Kitaseki." What do you get when you combine the two greatest Shimane line original import bulls Itomichi 1/2 and Kenhanafuji with the undisputed greatest cow of the breed, a Nami line 100% Tajima known worldwide as "Suzutani" in a pedigree? The answer: Tsunami 51B and Tsunami 54B! Pay attention to the fact that the 2nd dam of this masterpiece pedigree named "Heatherkura" by Haruki II is a full sister to the immortal Shigeshigetani, a bull widely considered the greatest carcass bull outside Japan. Kenhanafuji, the highest selling wagyu bull of all time, is a direct son of Itohana, one of the only 100% Fujiyoshi sires to ever lead Japan in marbling two years in a row beating out all the fabled Yasutani doi and Nami line Tajimas of Hyogo. Itozakahana 52B sired by the great Shimane powerhouse growth bull Itomichi 1/2, is a paternal half brother to 3 time Denver Grand Champion bull Sweet Willie. His momma Mizukura 17W is a top Takazakara daughter of Six Buck Ranch's pride and joy donor Kobe Mizutani, who is herself by Kenhanafuji and a full sister of Shigeshigetani!
Breeders often forget that Takazakara is a grandson of the great original kobe beef-makin' rockstar Yasufuku 930. 5) DAI 6 SEIZANATANI 53B (FB23118)
Dai 6 Seizanatani is sired by the only Westholme 006 son in North America, the great Dai 6 Kitaseki. Kitaseki's outcross package is increased by his Youhou line dam. The Youhou line of Tottori is different from the Kedaka sub strain of Tottori in that Youhou line Tottoris do not have the actual bull "Kedaka" anywhere in their pedigree. The 1976 original import bull Mazda is the only other Youhou line Tottori bull breeders outside Japan have. Dai 6 Seizanatani combines the killer potent outcross combo of Westholme 006 and Youhou blood with the double whammy combo classic of the greatest Tajima cow of the breed Suzutani along with the best of Fujiyoshi blood in Kenhanafuji, Itohana's best marbling son. Umezuru Doi 58B is the result of breeding the only line bred Dai 10 Mitsumaru son "Umemaru," to one of the largest framed high Tajima cows in the world outside Japan: "Nanashi." Dai 10 Mitsumaru was considered the standout greatest Akaushi sire in the world in a league of his own when the main red wagyu shipments were imported to the USA in 1994. Umezuru Doi's dam Nanashi weighed 1542 lbs the day after traveling 27 hours non stop in August in the back of a trailer from TransOva, Iowa to our ranch in upstate New York. She is by far the largest framed, highest growth >60% Tajima cow we have ever seen. Her sire Itozuru Doi 151 is considered the greatest carcass sire by A to Z Feeders, the biggest wagyu F1 feedlot in North America with 10,000+ F1's and fullbloods on feed. They have hundreds of black wagyu fullblood bulls they use to make F1's and the sire of the vast majority of them is a clone of Itozuru Doi 151. Here you have an Akaushi sire line bred the greatest Akaushi bull of all time bred to what may be the largest framed, highest growth high Tajima dam in North America, who just happens to be a direct daughter of the highest rated commercial black wagyu bull by the largest wagyu feedlot outside Japan and Australia. This bull has been a herd bull here at WagyuRanch.com for the past 3 years. Despite being an F11 carrier, we were impressed by his exceptional pedigree and phenotype, especially for a 70% Tajima bull! Weighing well over 1900 lbs in healthy shape at turnout, this guy settles down to around 1700 lbs in running shape by late summer on cows, then fills back out to 1900+ over winter. VERY HARD TO FIND a frame and phenotype like this on an 70% Tajima bull with 068 and Sanjirou this close in their pedigree! He gets his frame and growth from Takazakara, Kikuyasu 400 (largest Tajima ever exported) and the great Yuriko cow. His F1's are outstanding in growth, marbling, and ribeye size, and his daughters have fat healthy calves following them around the pasture. 3) UKB MR ITOKITASURU (FB13957)
We found him! The worlds only living Westholme 007 line bull in the world outside of Westholme and AAA in Australia! KITATSURUKIKU DOI (FB6387) is the registered name of Westholme 007, and UKB MR ITOKITASURU is the only living, registered, direct descendant of this great original import bull, who was a 3/4 full brother to the world's #1 ranked marbling bull Fukutsuru 068. The difference between 068 and 007 was their phenotype. 007 was in a completely different class of growth than 068 who is know to shrink down growth and milk like few bulls can. Mr Itokitasuru's dam is linebred Fukutsuru 068 so this bull is basically triple linebred the "magic cross."

WCC Chubby Buddy dropped jaws coming in off 7000+ acres of open west Utah desert range as a 1100+ lb yearling! He was hastily feed bunker broke, "show cut de-horned" and halter broke just in time to win Senior Champion Bull of Houston Livestock in 2014 with the largest ribeye, and lowest backfat of the entire show! A few weeks later he became the sale record highest selling bull of all time at the 2014 Texas Wagyu sale. He succesfully bred a registered angus cow at under 7 months of age before being separated for weaning! He is now perhaps the largest framed red wagyu in the AWA registry easily exceeding 2000 lbs.
